Difficulties That You May Have With Blogging
Posted on 02:17by Unknown with No comments
Have you ever looked at a blog that only had a few posts and no followers? Most people start blogs without knowing that they will need to put in hard work to get to the number of followers that they want. Successful blogs are based on having traffic to your site, quality writing, and sticking with the blog even when it seems like it’s not going anywhere.
When you create a blog, your first priority should be writing quality pieces. This step is most important because even if you get traffic to your site, what will they read? The content that you write needs to be high quality to ensure that people continue to come back. Once you have followers, a lot of your site traffic will be returning visits; therefore, you should try to give your readers the best writing that you can. People aren't going to want to come back and read your blog if your content doesn't have structure, good spelling, or good grammar.
After you’ve wrote a few blog posts, you may run into the problem of not knowing what to write about. After you’ve gotten your best writing ideas out there, it can be hard to figure out where to go now. If your blog is about a particular topic, such as gardening, you may need to do a bit of research to find out more things that you can write about. You’ll need to try to think out of the box in order to keep great content flowing to your site. For example, if you’ve wrote five posts about past gardens that you’ve had, start writing about the tools that you used for each one.
Your post could turn into a kind of mini review on the things that you’ve used while gardening. Keep in mind that even though you should post frequently, you don’t need to post all of your content in one day. If you’ve wrote a few pieces that are ready to publish, post one at a time. You can even add a one to two day break between your posts. This will give you more time to come up with your next topic.
If you’re new to blogging, don’t just expect the followers to come. You probably won’t have one thousand views within the first week of your blog. Try not to get discouraged if you don’t see your site visitors number increasing. If you advertise your blog on social media sites, post quality content, and comment on other blogs within your niche, you’ll soon find that the visitors are starting to come. It takes a bit of hard work and time, but it will pay off once you’ve gained some traffic.
Blogging can be a great way to express your thoughts about things, make friends, and possibly even make a bit of money. Running a successful blog takes a bit of dedication, but it won’t be as difficult as it may seem. Just keep in mind the important parts of blogging, such as posting frequently, and you’ll be on your way to a high traffic blog in no time.

Do You Blog For Fun Or Is It A Money Making Enterprise?
Posted on 02:16by Unknown with No comments
When people first start writing a blog a lot of them believe it will be effortless and that somehow it will automatically attract visitors. A great many also think that it is possible to make money by blogging without expending any extra effort. The reality is not quite that simple though. For a start, your knowledge and opinions will go unread unless someone can find the blog, so making it visible in the search engines is a critical task.
Anyone who is determined to make money by blogging can earn a good income, but not without a lot of effort and most important of all, consistency. There is a temptation to start out by posting every day, but as time becomes tight and outside pressures build up the novelty wears off and keeping the blog updated becomes a chore instead of a joy. This is exactly what the search engines do not want, so any traffic there might have been will soon dry up.
Here are a few key points that might help turn your blog into a money-making machine:
• Consider advertising on your blog. Of course, you will need some traffic to make this worthwhile, but by adding something as simple as a Google AdSense block to a sidebar you can generate a few pence each day. If you are consistent, write quality content and engage your visitors you will attract more traffic, and in this case the income you can make will be considerably more. If you have a regular readership you can sell advertising space yourself – the rewards will be substantially more, and as long as you are selective about who advertises you can maintain the integrity of your site.
• When you have an idea that seems popular you could create your own product and sell it from your blog. This lends itself particularly to digital products, but you might be surprised how popular a blueprint, a tutorial PDF or a video series could be. If you have a skill that other people do not this can be a great way of adding quality content to your blog and a way of generating income at the same time.
• If you are not able to create a product of your own there is always the opportunity of selling someone else’s as an affiliate. There are hundreds of affiliate schemes available to join, and many focus on physical products rather than digital ones. A great example is Amazon, one of the world’s largest retailers and one of the most trusted names online, who will allow you to promote their range of products and make every effort to support you in your endeavours. You will not earn huge rates of commission until you start selling a reasonable volume, but it is not unknown for affiliates to earn commissions of 30%-70% on each product they sell.
Anyone who plans to make an extra income stream from a blog could do a lot worse than following the tips I have outlined above, and with a bit of luck and some decent traffic you can start to genuinely make some money by blogging.

Does Blogging Really Work
Posted on 02:16by Unknown with No comments
I know so many people that want to start blogs to make a living online. I often come off as negative and tell them that there are better ways to making money online but they refuse to listen. They always point out some famous blogger and this is when I break down that bloggers marketing strategy and they claim that they can do the first thing. These are people would have a hard time writing a 3 page paper let alone a blog. I suppose my message is that blogging isn't the only way to make money online.
Yet people try to do it everyday, these people normally don't understand SEO or even content. They don't realize that they need to write about things that will attract people. I have one cousin who thought she could make money just writing about the President. I immediate questioned her and asked how she expected to monetize this blog and she had nothing to say. I guess hope dream change can magically make money appear?
If you are going to write a blog, first know how you are going to make money, know what theme of your blog is going to be. Is it going to be a dating blog a health blog or what not. Know what type of money making tools you can use. Are you going to use CPA offers, clickbank or adwords? You have to have some idea how your blog is going to pay you. You also need to do research on your niche to see how many people search for your niche on a daily basis. It takes more than deciding that you are going to write for a living. Although, there are those luckbox cases where some one becomes a success without even trying.
How are you going to create content? Do you have the time to write constant content? Outsourcing your writing is always a good idea and this way you can always have fresh content on your side. It is what many of the larger bloggers do.
Do you know how to build rapport from your writing? What is your story and why will people care what you have to say. You need a narrative that people can relate to. They need to trust you and your story, Without this rapport building you will never have loyal fans who will check your site everyday.
As you can see, blogging is harder than people think it is. It takes a lot of skills and knowledge that the average person doesn't possess. All of these can be learned and the learning curve isn't that steep. You just have to be willing to learn and willing to put in the necessary work. There are way more people with the desire to create a popular blog than there are people who have the talent and more importantly the drive to make it happen. I hope you all have the drive and discipline to make blogging work for you.

Drawing More Traffic to Your Blog
Posted on 02:15by Unknown with No comments
Whether you blog for fun or profit, the point of it is to be noticed … to get people reading what you have written. Given that there are hundreds, even thousands, of bloggers out there in the Land of Blog, how do you draw traffic your own humble blog site?
This is the goal of every blogger out there and it may seem like an insurmountable task. But if you understand the ins and outs of the Internet, you can succeed. One thing you may want to consider is your platform, that is your blog’s theme or purpose. Many just blog to be blogging, and that’s okay. They view their blog as their personal journal. That’s especially fitting when you consider the origins of the term “blog” – web log, in other words a log of your thoughts recorded on your website.
But if your purpose is to build followers or to use your blog as a marketing tool, it would be best to have an ongoing theme. That way you will be attracting people who have a common interest in that theme and will return again and again – and even refer others to your blog site.
Even if you’re not an Internet marketer, there are strategies they use that would serve you well to draw in readers. One of these is to become an established and active poster on the various social network sites, such as Facebook and Twitter. After a while people will start noticing your comments – and even look forward them.
If you leave a clear link to your blog site in your comments, pretty soon you will begin to notice the traffic picking up. People will become curious as to who you are, so when they see your link, they will click it hoping to learn more.
Just make sure you give them something to see!
This brings up another important tip regarding drawing people to your blog: Be regular in your postings. Don’t let weeks or months pass by without adding a new blog post. That is the quickest way to lose an audience. If there’s never a new post, your readers will quickly tire of visiting your site. So, make it worth their while.
Another suggestion is to use good tag words. If someone is just browsing or doing a search on a specific subject, they’ll only find you if you have tag words that will fall into their search parameters. Civil War buffs, for instance, might use such key search words as “re-enacting,” or “Confederacy,” or “Union troops,” or maybe if it fits, “abolition.” If you build a list of tags that are specific to your theme … they will come.
Posting on non-blog discussion boards that relate to your blog’s subject matter is another way to draw in readers. Again, if your blog has a Civil War theme, look up discussion groups centered around American History, Civil War History, or Reenacting. The point is to make your presence known to the right people – the people most likely to come, and read, and most importantly, to return.

Now that you have taken the first step in creating your own blog, it is time to select a great name for it. Your blogging site name will be most effective if it embodies exactly what you are blogging about. The name should describe exactly what your intentions are in sharing valuable content with your readers.
One of the most effective tools to maximize your targeted audience, and create a large number of readers is to choose the right name. Because of that, your selection should be taken seriously. The name you choose should specify a personal brand, or referred to in obvious niche or community online.
Typically, the URL, domain name, or website address is somehow more effective when it is based on the name of your blogging site. The name you select should be something that holds true meaning. Think the entire process through, and select the best name that clearly fits the site.
Acquiring the Domain Name
Now that you have chosen the most effective domain name, it is important to make sure that no one else owns or uses it. This will allow you to purchase the domain name and begin using it immediately. Generally, the cost of the domain name is approximately $10 every year. Remember that you own the domain name, and can use it on any blog platform you choose.
If you are using your blogging site for business or promotions, you will need to acquire different variations on the same name. This way, others will not be able to steal your thunder, by buying your domain name with a different extension such as .net, .org, .co and others.
Choosing the Best Platform

A Hosted Blogging Site

Most of these services provide you the opportunity to register your own blog for free. They will be hosted by the specific server.
There are significant advantages to using a hosted site including the simple and easy process of setting it up, along with the advantage of not needing to provide maintenance on your own including high level security settings, and updating the software.
A Self-Hosted Blogging Site
The same large blogging sites also offer the ability to self-host your own blog. There are significant advantages to being self-hosted, including the ability to utilize your own domain name to promote your strong brand. It also allows you the freedom to monetize your blogging site in any way you choose.
The process of setting up a blogging site is simple, when using the above effective steps. Remember to only update relevant and informative content to your site to maintain its success.

Engage With Your Audience Through Blogging

If your business has a website then you will be eager to find out more about blogging. The reason for this is that blogging will allow you the engage and interact with your target audience and find out more about their specific questions and observations about your brand,
The interactivity of a blog is only one of its powerful features that can extend the reach of a brand. Blogs are now recognized as part of the social media environment for a number of reasons. The first of these is that a blog builds social relations with an identified demographic target segment and the second being that the business can use the blog to position both their products an the senior management as expert in their industry sector.
A blog makes sharing engaging, relevant and unique content extremely simple. Once the company has identified which products or brands to position they will maximize the opportunities presented by the blog by proactively placing this content in th blog according to a regular schedule.
The ideal content mix is debatable, however social media experts have recommended that content should contain video, images (infographics are particularly effective) and copy.
However most blogs are heavy on the copy, supported by other media such as video content. Some concrete recommendations for content include white papers and other research. External content can also be curated on the blog. In fact placing links to the content produced by other authorities is an extremely effective way of increasing the reach and content of the blog.
The blog also acts as part of the social media ecosystem due to the fact that quality content can be shared across the social media sites of many readers, increasing the reach of the company's key messages. Ideally this sharing will lead to other authoritative blog owners linking to the site and further extending its reach.
Having a blog also increases the effectiveness of the other social media sites that the company has in its social media real estate. The blog is a repository of information that can act as a link target for information supplied on other social media sites and as such can provide more detail on subjects that are highlighted in the other social media sites.
There is some discussion among experts as to how often a blog should be updated, but the consensus seems to be that at least one new blog entry should be placed into the blog every two days. If the business might find this onerous then it is worth noting that when producing blog content it can sometimes be preferable to outsource the function to content marketing experts who will also be able to measure the effectiveness of the blog as a marketing tool.
By analyzing content and the reactions of the readers to the content, as well as the sharing activity involving the content an expert content marketer will be able to advise the organization on how to refine their messages and increase the engagement potential of the blog.

Free Blogging Or Paid Blogging - Which Is Best?
Posted on 02:08by Unknown with No comments
In today's technological society, one of the greatest ways to express your opinions is through a blog. However, once you make the decision to begin blogging there are numerous further issues which must be considered. Firstly there is the problem of whether you use a free or paid blogging platform. Both of these are highly popular and have their own positive and negative features.
Before discussing in detail the advantages and disadvantages of the different blogs, let us consider what the blog actually is. A free blog is a blogging service which does not incur any cost. The most popular options are Wordpress.com and Blogger. com. Of course, there are others such a Tumblr.com, but this platform is used primarily for younger individuals promoting 'gag sites' and fan pages.
Unlike a free blog, a paid blog requires a fee or subscription for use. Usually this can be paid on an annual or six monthly basis, but there are some websites which require a monthly payment. These paid blogs will usually be self-hosted platforms where one is allowed more freedom to experiment with your own designs and themes. The most popular paid blog site is Hostgater.com as they the cheapest subscription rates with the most positive reviews.
While paid blogs allow for more creative freedom regarding appearance, many individuals prefer free blogs. This is primarily because it is inexpensive, but also because the sites provide more support for user. If you are a first-time blogger or do not know much about HTML or website design, this is a highly beneficial feature. Furthermore, free blogs offer more ready-made themes and designs for the blogger allowing for immediate set-up and writing.
As is mentioned, the paid blog does give you more freedom to create your own layout and web presentation. Once again there is the option of using ready-made, free themes or purchasing the more intricate ones if you are unsure about manual website design yourself. The greatest attraction of the paid blog is the domain name. Unlike free blogs where you will be required to include the platforms name within the URL, a paid blog allows you a professional URL independent of the platform.
Unfortunately, paid blogs are not all advantageous. The one disadvantage is you will have to install an operating platform manually and complete SEO (search engine optimisation) yourself, whereas the free blog does this automatically. The promotion of your blog is your responsibility.
In conclusion, while the free blog is the more simple option it does restrict creativity. All promotion is completed automatically, but one may only use basic designs unless you are willing to pay for the more defined ones. One must remember that by using these generic themes you will not be standing out from the crowd and there will be other blogs identical to yours. The paid blog requires more work, but it does allow for increased singularity. Which is best is based on personal preference - the decision is yours.

Get Your Opinion Heard As A Blogger
Posted on 02:07by Unknown with No comments
With all the attention that the social media is getting at the moment you'd think that people have ignored the creative side of reaching out to people with both their opinions and valuable insights. That's simply not true, there are legions of dedicated bloggers out there who are making there voices heard.
The beauty of blogging is that you don't have to be a trained journalist to enjoy a dedicated audience, you simply have to have something interesting to say. However blogging about what you had for breakfast is not going to get you a huge following. Although there are exceptions to even this rule.
The key to successful blogging is to find your niche. Find a subject that you are interested in and that's half the battle for followers won.
If you have a strongly held opinion on subjects that can range from the social media itself, to politics or technology there's a more than even chance that someone out here is going to want to read what you have to say.
Before you dive in head first you're going to have to make some simple choices, such as which platform you prefer as a vehicle for your blogging activities. Many people seem to gravitate towards the free options like Blogger or Wordpress. However, there are many other choices out there. For those who want a slightly more visual look and feel to their blogs choices like Tumblr make a lot of sense.
Once you've made your choice you're going to want to make sure that your blog looks good. Thankfully there are an enormous number of free templates that are available for users of the most popular blogging platforms. Spend some time finding one that will suit your own individual style.
Once you've got the look and feel nailed down then it's time to find that all important inspiration. Many bloggers claim that they simply have to sit down at a keyboard and the words simply come tumbling out. For others it's a case of searching for that idea that gets the mental juices flowing.
Fortunately the Internet is full of places to find inspiration. One of the best places to start looking is at popular news sites. There are many of these sites, some offering a quirky take on the everyday and some slightly more serious. Many offer the option of viewing topics that are 'trending'. These topics are popular on with Internet users and can really provide some great ideas.
If you'res till stuck then the 'ten things' formula is a great way to break the drought. Look at our own experiences and put together a list based on your own experiences. Such as 'ten things having a teenager in the house taught me about patience'. You get the idea.
Perhaps one of the best pieces of advice a blogger can get is to always have a thick skin. There are always people out there who delight in belittling your blogging efforts. These trolls are best ignored. If they continue to be a problem, bar them from commenting.

Have a Passion? Turn It Into a Blog!
Posted on 02:07by Unknown with No comments
Blogging can not only be great fun, but it can also be a source of income. All you really need to start a blog is a passion about something, along with the desire to share that passion with others. Blogging simply entails writing regular short articles, called blog posts, that share some aspect of your subject. If you post regularly, other people with the same passion will find your blog and become regular readers.
Want an example? Okay. Let's say that your passion is autograph collecting. Perhaps you have hundreds, maybe even thousands of autographs. What a great subject for a blog! You could name your blog something like “Autograph Collectors Anonymous” or “Ye Olde Autograph Collector.” Be sure to actually name the subject in your blog title so that the search engines can list it for others to find.
Try writing a blog post once or twice a week that details how you got your autographs. One post could equal one autograph. For instance, maybe you have an old time movie star's autograph --- someone like Cary Grant. Tell the story about how you happened to be seated next to him on a flight from New York to Los Angeles --- describe what he was like. Put his photo and a photo his autograph on the blog and invite others to comment.
Then add another blog post. This one might be about how you tracked down a rock star --- say someone like George Harrison. Describe how you saw him in the audience at a concert and had to use a lot of tricks of the trade to get by security in order to get his autograph. Include a photo from the concert, a photo of the singer, and a photo of the autograph.
As long as you make regular entries, people will find you become regular followers. In the meantime, how might you make some money with your blog?
One suggestion would be by adding links to merchandise being sold on Amazon. You might have a link to a book about Cary Grant with a second link to an Amazon page offering an assortment of his movies for sale. In the case of a rock star, you might include links to posters, recordings and books. There are all kinds of opportunities.
Some bloggers even write their own books. If your autograph collection is extensive you might write an e-book that explains all that has gone into your collection over the years. You might even reveal a few trade secrets about how you have gotten autographs that are really hard to get. Let your potential customers know these are secrets you will not be sharing anywhere else.
Another possibility for making money on your blog is by adding Google's Adsense ads. These are the little two and three line ads that you often see in Internet articles. Google will pay you a predetermined amount each time one of your readers clicks on an Adsense ad.
If you have a passion, why not blog about it? No matter how strange your hobby or passion may be --- there are others out there who will definitely be interested in it. So get to work and start blogging!

Have Fun And Get Known By Blogging

If you have ever wanted an audience of millions now is the best chance that you might ever have,. Thanks to the popularity of the social media those wanting to get word of a particular area of expertise out into the general community have a far better chance than has ever been the case in the past.
One of the reasons for this is that it is now easier (and cheaper) than ever to set up your own blog in any of your particular interest areas. In fact what you want to talk about in your blog is entirely up to you.
Blogging spots such as Wordpress and Blogger make templates available that you can personalize for your own particular unique needs and these templates give a you a solid foundation to build an audience and even enhance the functionality of the blog as it grows. If you provide blog visitors with the sorts of quality information that they require then the sky is the limit, your audience will grow as others get word of your special area of interest and your supporters and content users start to share your content throughout the social media ecosystem.
And the best thing about setting up your own blog is that it's free, at least to start with. If you want to upgrade your blog address to your own personal .com site or use some of the powerful tool s to reach an even bigger audience then you may choose to take advantage of some of the monthly plans that are available from most of the larger blog service providers, but you are under no obligation to do this.
They say that some of the best things in life are free, and this may be true when you're setting up your blog, however your blog is not going to be a fast track to fame and fortune without some effort on your part. Blogging can be hard work if you want to get to the top of the pile as far as followers are concerned. In order to do this you are going to have to make sure that the content that you are providing to the visitors to the site provides a value added experience.
One of the ways to ensure that your content is top class is to make sure that it contains the optimal mixture of video, copy and still images. There's nothing stopping you from using your smartphone to provide a base for some of your visual content, but you have to be careful about it. Low production values are an instant turn off for the majority of blog site visitors. If you're going to save money by using the tools that you have at hand at least make sure that the content is relevant to your target audience.
One of the ways that you can ensure that the content is going to be shared is to use a healthy dose of humor. Other than that, just make sure that what you are putting on your blog is unique and that the content contains value added content.

How Blogging Saved My Life
Posted on 02:05by Unknown with No comments
I know a lot of people have blogs, and it's hard to think about how many blogs are out there. But I am a very lucky person, because I feel that blogging saved my life. Perhaps not literally, but without it I would be much worse off.
You see, I was just a single parent walking around without much money. Most single moms are living in poverty, according to the statistics. I didn't want to be a statistic, but I was working in a minimum wage job I didn't like, and things didn't seem to be getting any better. I was finally able to start using the internet, and the first thing I did was to try to find work I could do from home. After all, I wanted to be with my kids too.
I found a few possibilities, but nothing seemed to really stick. I kept the job I didn't like, but I did start blogging. I had heard blogging was a great way to make money, but I didn't see that to be the case at all. Even if that were true, I thought, I didn't know how to do it.
I started blogging about my life, and I had visitors here and there. However, I knew that I wouldn't make any money with that. Who wanted to hear about my life! That's why I started shifting the topic of my blog. I finally made it about parenting, and that is when things started happening for me.
A friend of mine lives overseas, and a local magazine found her blog and did a story on her and her baby. I knew that that could happen to me as well, but I realized I'd have to do some marketing of my blog. People had to hear about me before they could offer me magazine stories and other perks.
To do some marketing for my blog, I started making funny videos on Youtube. People seemed to like them a lot. I haven't gotten enough views to start profit sharing with the site, but I think that will be coming soon. In addition to videos, I joined Twitter and have made all kinds of contacts from there.
Working on my blog gave me something fun to do with myself, and I couldn't tell you how happy I started to be. I had a purpose, and I felt like I was a boss, even if I weren't. I woke up every morning thinking about something I wanted to do, instead of crying or waking up in a bad mood the way I used to.
After a few months, I started getting nibbles from advertisers and people who wanted me to maintain their own blogs. I am almost to the point where I can quit my job and live off my blogging, and that will be the happiest day of my life. Blogging has really given me a reason to go on, and I can't believe it is finally happening.

How Can I Start Blogging?
Posted on 02:05by Unknown with No comments
If you have an area of special interest such as a hobby or even strongly held views on a particular topic then blogging may just be the right outlet for your creative and management talents. For those interested in finding the perfect avenue for expressing themselves designing and launching a blog is also one of the easiest ways to get yourself heard.
A blog can best be described as an online, ordered and interactive diary, but this description does not do the reach and power of a well run blog any justice. The new blogger is able to reach more people than ever before, with powerful messages that are aimed at a specific target audience.
Setting up a blog can take only hours (in fact some of the simpler templates that are available for free make setting up a blog extremely quick) and the design templates are extremely easy to use. Blogging sites like Wordpress, or Blogger have literally hundreds of free templates available that can be used after a simple registration process. After the setup of the blog template it's a simple matter of regular content updates. For the average user these updates are as simple as cut and paste (you can even write the blog straight into your content management system).
Managing content has never been simpler. Once you have decided on a topic then simply write the copy (the length is entirely up to you, some blog entries are only a line or two) and insert it into the blog.Once this has been done then the blogger can set about making the content as attractive of possible by inserting images or even video. This process is also extremely simply. One thing that should always be done is to ensure that the content that you are using from third parties is copyright free. There are sources of free images on websites that are easily accessible. However, even so called "free" images need to be used with care.
Although the images may be what is called "creative commons" images some care still needs to be taken to ensure that they are completely free for use. In most cases you can use content if you take care to attribute where they come from. The website that you source the graphic contents from will usually have guidelines as to how you can use the content.
So now you have the copy and the images and you've posted them into your content management system so what next? Blog management systems will usually allow you to insert tags and keywords which will help others to locate the content that they are particularly interested in. Fill out the form on the blog management page (not too many tags, otherwise you risk not being focused enough), select your main / highlighted photograph and you are ready to publish.
Once you have published your articles you can choose to share the content across your other social network sites, if you don't have any then don't worry, your new blog will still be open for business. Good luck with your blogging career.

How Personality Types Influence Your Forex Trading Strategy
Posted on 02:04by Unknown with No comments
It is said that the narcissistic personality type is highly predominant within the corporate business world. 'Megalomaniacs' are held in high regard as their personalities are in line with the industry they find themselves in. They are confident, strong-willed and indifferent to anyone else's emotions or situations. An non-empathetic nature is highly convenient in a cut-throat and volatile industry. Furthermore, these individuals will demonstrate strong leadership abilities with skills of money management. Yet, despite the similar traits, personality will influence one thing making each individual different. This is their forex strategy. While the strategy is based upon similar concepts, it is when you combine personality with a strategy base that you see a unique plan.
The question remains: what is the extent of this influence? Is it positive, or is it the personality that leads to negative trading? In this article we look at the impulsive and contemplative personalities and their affects on trading strategies.
An important part of trading is making decisions in split-second time frames. The impulsive trader - an individual who has a short attention span and likes to 'keep things moving' - is very comfortable making these immediate decisions. However, there are instances when this impulsiveness can be disadvantageous instead of beneficial.
Within the forex industry, the term 'scalpers' is used for individuals who choose to not base judgements on prior study. A successful forex trader will engage in a great amount of research and data analysis reviewing financial patterns over a number of months. However, 'scalpers' prefer to base their forex strategy on the trend running at that moment. These individuals are usually present with an impulsive personality, and will usually trade on emotion. Often these trades will lead to many profits, but soon the trend-following strategy's success will fail and he/she will face a run of successive losses.
Unlike the impulsive scalper, the contemplative personality type traders are those who do their research and base their forex trading strategies on previous analysis. They will have watched the forex markets different trends over the past months and will make informed decisions. Although this is a more logical method on which to trade, it is not always the best. Forex does require some impulsivity as the market is a fast-pace, ever-changing industry and remaining in the same position leads to a chance of loss.
Often contemplative traders will cling to their positions for a prolonged period of time out of indecisiveness or arrogant surety that the pattern will shift. This is known as a 'sunken cost' and is an initial sign of overtrading. This is not usually part of the forex strategy, but goes off tangent and leads the trader into a psychological bind. It is only after he/she has lost a great deal of capital that they seem to realise the error of judgement.
As can be seen, personality does influence forex trading strategies. In order to assure you will be successful trader and use an effective plan of action one must remain objective when developing your strategy. It also helps to receive third party input.

How to Achieve Greater Blogging Traffic
Posted on 02:04by Unknown with No comments
Now that you have taken the time to obtain a free blogging account, and written updated posts, you are left with wondering why nothing is happening. After all the amount of time and energy spent on creating content, no one is visiting your site. It appears as though even those that are taking the time to read your content are not leaving comments or even caring about any of the words that have been written.
It takes a significant amount of time to build up the right targeted blogging audience. However, there are a few steps that can be taken to achieve a greater audience and build a higher level of traffic to the site.
Blog Routinely
It is important to continually add new updated content to the site. The more often a new post arrives on the blogging site, the higher chance you will have of achieving a greater audience. However, it is essential that the content that is added to the site has value. Otherwise, the reader can quickly become disengaged, and not return to the site.
Stay on Point
It is important to remember the reason why you started the blogging site. It likely fulfills a specific niche, and pertains to something of interest to you. It might be a blogging site dedicated to raising chickens, knitting, political views, or even promoting a business. It is essential to stay on point and not waiver when obtaining new content to the site. Remember that the visitor is on the site to gain new information, or see your updating views on something specific, and can become highly agitated or disappointed when you waiver off the topic.
Enhancing the Search Engines
The search engine sites, including Google and Bing, are constantly scouring the Internet for new updates. Anytime you leave new updated content on your site, the search engine recognizes it in stores it immediately. The next time anybody types in a search looking for your specific topic, the search engine recognizes that you have new content to offer, and bumps your rankings up on the research results page. This will help generate a larger audience by driving traffic to your site.
Leaving Comments
Even though what you post on your site is important, it is also essential to visit other sites. While visiting, you become part of a blogging community, and can leave comments on their sites as well. Becoming engaged with other bloggers and readers that share your interests is a quick way to drive additional traffic to your site. Be sure that every time you leave a comment on a guest blogging site you include your links back to your site. This will help achieve a greater audience quickly.
In addition, you can drive additional traffic to your site by posting on forums. This might include answering questions posed by other individuals on the forum. Be sure to include your blogging site address under your signature. These effective tools can add substantial amount of traffic to your site, create greater interest, and maintain its success.

How To Attract More Visitors To our Blog
Posted on 02:03by Unknown with No comments
Anyone who has a blog wants as many visitors as possible, even if it is just to share comments with like-minded people. If, however, you want to make money by blogging, then the number of visitors you get will have a direct impact on your income. There is a mountain of information online about how to attract more visitors, but the simple truth is that you have to write compelling content people want to read and then you have to make sure they see it.
Many advisors tell you to use social media to publicise your work, and this is a great idea. However, you must know what sort of information people are searching for before you start writing your killer-content. There are a few ways of discovering this – Yahoo Answers is one, Google Alerts is another, but this method has always been successful for me.
Carry out a search on popular forums and in other websites in related niches to find the sort of posts that are popular and attract a lot of comments. When you come across one that seems to have promise, make a note of the subject and add a few lines to make up a “tip.” When you have collected a few of these “tips” you can dig deeper to expand the research. You may find hidden gems in other places online, so collect them as well until you have a page or so.
Now, go through the list and select the top 5 related tips. Start to research the information a bit more if you need to and then write a quality article around the tips you have uncovered. Make sure you only use the best tips you can find. If writing isn't your strength, hire a freelancer to write the article for you.
When you have the article written think about the title you will use to make it engage the visitor. It should be something catchy, slightly controversial or tempting so the reader is prompted to read more. Capitalize each word for more impact, then go over the whole thing and proof read it. Better still, let someone else read it – ideally a professional editor.
Now make the article easy to read by adding subheadings and other formatting techniques to break up long passages of text. Spice things up a bit by adding images through the post and if you can find a decent YouTube video, add that as well. When you have finished, check through it again to make sure it reads well and contains no errors.
When you publish the post on your blog, wait a day then post an excerpt on Facebook. Follow this up with a Tweet each day and if you have used images make sure they are copyright free and pin them on Pinterest.
Promote the post on web 2.0 sites if you have accounts on any – examples could include Identica, Tumblr, FriendFeed and Live Journal. Link back to your post from each and you will soon have more visitors than you could imagine!

How To Blog With Bullet Points
Posted on 02:03by Unknown with No comments
When you use blogging as a means of communication between you and your audience, you know that your content needs to be engaging. One of the most engaging tactics to use in your blog content writing is the use of bullets. Keep reading to find out how you can use bullet points to benefit you and keep your readers coming back.
What exactly are bullet points and what are they used for ? Bullets can help you highlight important bits of information for your reader to process. Most readers are short on time and want to understand the gist of your content. Bullet points enable to share with your readers your most important thoughts in an easy to understand manner.
Most professional bloggers use this very tool to add interest to their blogging. How can bullet points make your posts great? Bullet points help make your articles easy to scan, easy to comprehend and even easier to find key bits of information.
It is crucial to note that just randomly throwing bullet points into your content will not win you good marks from your readers. Your bullets should be placed carefully with a plan to call attention to certain details.
There is a simple strategy to creating well-placed bullets. You can't just insert bullet points wherever you want to without giving it some thought.
Here are some tips for writing your bullets:
-short and simple information for each bullet
-use short phrases instead of full sentences
-add symmetry to your bullet points
-make each point interesting
-use similar structure
You may feel a tad confused at this point, so let's take an in-depth look at each tip.
Your bullets should have short and simple information for readers to digest. Bullet points are aides that help readers quickly scan articles for interesting info or data. Readers don't always have the time to read everything, so consider if what you are saying in one bullet gets to the gist of what you're article is saying.
The point of bullet points is that they are short and sweet. You don't want complicated full sentences clogging up your easy-to-read article. Short phrases are more than enough to get the point across to your readers.
There should be an order to your bullet points. How you do your first bullet should be how you do the rest of them. For example, if you choose to write a one line bullet point, the rest should follow suit.
You need to keep your readers interested with bullets resembling mini-headlines. Use the bullet points to capture the attention of your readers, and explain the bullets further in your article. If no one found your bullets interesting, they probably won't find the rest of your article attention grabbing either.
There should be structure to each of your bullets. If you begin each of your sentences with a form of action, do so with all of them. You need to have uniform points.
As you can see, writing your own bullet points is not hard. All you need is to give it some thought and organize your information well!

How to Get Other People to Read Your Blog
Posted on 02:02by Unknown with No comments
Have you been writing a blog for sometime now but can't seem to get anyone to read it? That is a common problem. In fact many people that are not familiar with the world of the Internet just expected to write a blog and have millions of people instantly flock to it. Sadly that is not the case. Just how can you get other people to read your blog?
One helpful suggestion is to learn a bit about search engine optimization, or SEO. SEO techniques, when done properly, will help get your blog listed in search engines, such as Google. We can't discuss all the tricks here, but one suggestion is to make each blog post about a single subject.
For instance, if you are writing about your child's first day of school, keep your article focused on that subject. Use those words in the title of your post. Name your article something like: Taking Your Kids to Their First Day of School” instead of: “Billy's First Day.” The reason is to let the search engines like Google know what your article. This will help them find it and list it when people do searches related to their kids first day of school. You might also be sure to include your title phrase once or twice in your article.
Another good way to get readers to your blog is to join Facebook groups or Internet forums that are built around similar subjects. For instance if your blog is about raising your kids, find Facebook groups on kids and families. Introduce yourself to the group and then start commenting right away. Make sure you comment on other people's posts and offer suggestions, tell stories, etc. Get to know members in these groups well before you mention that you have a blog.
Once you do mention your blog, don't oversell it. Mention it in passing. You might say something like: “That was a good experience. Something similar happened to Billy, my six year old. In fact, I recently wrote about it in my blog.” Then you can give a link. Do that only once every 20 or 30 comments you make --- don't overdo it.
And while we are at it, if other people leave links to their blogs, go and read their posts and comment on those, too! In fact, you can search for other blogs on subjects similar to yours and go in and leave comments about things they have written. Be a good online citizen and give good comments that show you are really in tune with the subject. Many blogs will let you leave a link in the signature line.
Another suggestion is to develop an email list. Ask people to join your list so you can advise them when you write a new post. You might even have something to give them if they join. One successful blogger posts a word game on her blog each week. Folks who join her email list get the answers immediately --- others have to wait until the next week's post.
If you have a blog it can be frustrating when no one comes to read it. These suggestions should prove helpful in getting people to come and visit your blog.

How To Go About Starting Your Own Blog
Posted on 02:02by Unknown with No comments
Gone are the days of scribbling on notepads and scrap pieces of paper. The age of the journal and locked diaries has long passed. In its stead is the technological substitute - the blog.
Originally, blogs were created as personal outlets for creative expression. They were supposed to be virtual works of art, however they have become increasingly mainstream with millions of blogs being set-up on a daily basis. Furthermore, the blogging platform is now used as a means for smaller businesses to gain a following and earn money.
It is no crime to earn some extra cash while publishing your most intimate thoughts on the life of a grapefruit. In fact, the Google AdSense programme has become one of the most popular and most lucrative options which a blogger may access to earn money via their blog. Other options include third party affiliate or CPA programmes.
Before you start seeing dollar signs, you must create your blog. The physical act is simple enough, but there is a great deal of planning which goes into developing a successful website. Firstly, you need to decide what type of blog you will be maintaining. Will it be a personal one or a commercial one? This is important as each topic or niche has a certain writing style and physical presentation. A music blog cannot have cars as a background - it wouldn't make sense.
To set up your blog you will need to have some technical knowledge of blogging platforms. However, if you are unsure as to how this all works, you don't have to worry as there are many IT contractors available to hire on the Internet. If you don't want to hire someone to help you, the blogging platforms have some step-by-step guides for beginners. Also, doing some research on Google can be beneficial.
The most popular blogging platform is that of Wordpress, although there are many available online. Most businesses and professional blogs use this base as it has more professionally designed themes, and has the option of website domain hosting using their platform. In recent years, Tumblr has gained popularity among the youth as a personal blogging site. You can find many fansites and 'gag sites' on this platform.
Regardless of the site you choose to register with, there will always be the option of design themes. These themes are the background and style layout in which your blog will present itself on the internet. All will have ready-made themes, some fancier than others, placed in different categories according to different niches. You may choose one of these themes, which can then be customised to suit your individual preferences, or you can go about creating your own theme. However, to do this you will need some knowledge of HTML.
As may be seen, to acquire a blog is relatively simple. However, the posting and maintenance of the site is more complicated requiring more knowledge and hard work. Once you have everything in order, it is an exciting means of self-expression.

How To Launch A Successful Blog
Posted on 02:01by Unknown with No comments
Are you interested in becoming a blogger? You should learn more about blogging and pick a good topic for your blog. Keep reading for some useful tips on blogging.
Blogging is a lot of fun but you need to establish some precise goals for your blog. You will not get a lot of readers if you are not consistent with this project. Start by identifying your topic. A lot of bloggers make the mistake of writing about everything they are passionate about. Remember that most readers will only share your passion for one topic. Pick only one general topic you know a lot about and take the time to research this topic further if you are not an expert.
Producing excellent content is the key to launching a successful blog. Regardless of how much efforts you put into promoting your blog, you will not get a lot of readers if your articles are not interesting and valuable. Take the time to do some research before writing an article. If you are not a good writer, practice as much as possible. Write some short blog posts, organize your content in top 10 lists or create some videos instead.
Your blog should be easy to navigate. Organize your content so visitors can find the articles they will be interested in. Create some pages to share important information and add an archive to your blog so visitors can browse through your articles. Most blogging platforms will automatically organize your articles in chronological order, which is not a convenient way to navigate your blog. Add some links to all your articles so readers can find more similar content.
Get in touch with other bloggers. Exchange links with them and offer to feature their articles on your blog. Look for bloggers who have a similar audience. You can also exchange links with webmasters. If some of your readers are likely to have blogs too, try using the same blogging platforms so you can easily connect with them and perhaps exchange links. Always look for new bloggers who can help you share your content and make sure you return the favor.
Keep adding more content to your blog. Your readers will stay interested and visit your blog again if they know they can find more content on your blog. Try writing at least one new article each week. Share your new articles on article directories, message boards and try finding an online publication that can feature your new content in a weekly column. You could also create some videos and share them on YouTube along with links to your blog. Use a visitor counter to find out which links bring the most traffic to your blog.
These tips will help you become a successful blogger but you should be ready to work hard. Your blog might not be successful right away but you will eventually get a lot of readers if you apply the tips you just read and keep producing quality content for your blog.

How to Make a Living from Blogging
Posted on 02:00by Unknown with No comments
Making a living as a blogger is a dream that many people share. If you are like most people, the thought of being able to work from home, set your own hours and write about a topic that inspires you is incredibly appealing. Unfortunately, most people who start blogging for profit never reach their goals. There are two main reasons for this.
First, many people overestimate how quickly their traffic will grow. When they don’t see immediate results they get frustrated and give up. Second, many bloggers fail because they didn’t start with a plan. Just like any other business, blogging needs to be approached with a solid plan for how you expect to reach your goals. Otherwise it is easy to get sidetracked before you start to turn a profit.
The key to blogging success is growing a large readership. Unless you have substantial traffic, you won’t be able to demand high enough advertising dollars to earn a living. Unfortunately, getting traffic isn’t as easy as it used to be. Today, having a successful blog involves far more than writing excellent, engaging content. You also have to find innovative ways to market your blog and grow your readership.
If you make the mistake of focusing only on your writing and neglect marketing, you won’t see the results you want. Even the best writing is worthless if no one ever reads it. Instead, you have to take a two-pronged approach. Along with writing excellent content and providing regular updates, you also have to invest a significant amount of time in marketing.
Regular updates are important. However, don’t feel like you need to update your blog every day. Instead, try updating it several times a week. Make each post the absolute best that it can be. Then, spend the rest of your time focusing on marketing.
There are quite a few effective marketing techniques that you can employ. One of the most popular is writing a guest post for another blog. Look for high-traffic blogs in your market. Contact the blog owner and ask them if you could do a guest post in exchange for a link back to your blog. As long as you provide high quality content, many blog owners will be happy to accept your post. After all, it is essentially free content for their blog.
Guest blogging benefits you in two ways. First, it allows you to reach out to the other blog’s audience. If you content is engaging enough, hopefully they will click through to read more on your blog. Additionally, it also provides a link back to your site, which helps boost your standing in the search engines.
If you are stuck for ideas on how to proceed, take a look at some of the most successful blogs in your industry. Try to determine what they are doing that is different than what you are doing in terms of marketing. Once you have an understanding of what you want to achieve, sit down and write out a plan for how to get there. Determine how many days a week you plan to post and how much time you want to commit to marketing.
Taking the time to market your blog can mean the different between success and failure. If you develop a plan and stick with it for the long haul, you can successfully make a living with your blog.

How To Make Your New Blog Succeed
Posted on 02:00by Unknown with No comments
As soon as you decide to create a new blog have one thing in mind, commitment. There is no way you can hope to create a successful blog if you do not commit the time to make it succeed. A lot of people think that a new post or two a week will help them generate a big following. Truly successful blogs post at least once or twice every day. Figure out how you should approach starting out a new blog with the advice in this article.
What is your goal for starting a blog? Do you want to create a big following? Are you interested in affiliate marketing? Or maybe you wish to make extra money through ads. Whatever your goal is just understand what it is you hope to achieve in the short and long term. Clearly understanding your expectations will provide you a guide to write different blog posts.
Quality is far more important than quantity. Avoid posting a variety of blog posts throughout the day that have no substance. Double and triple check your work to ensure it is as grammatically free of errors as possible. Your credibility is on the line, so if you need to brush up on your writing skills. There are plenty of books you can find online that will help improve your writing skills. You can also take a writing class at a local community college or enroll in a course online. Try and figure out a way to make yourself a better writer and you will naturally attract more followers.
The amount of blog posts you create every day depends on the type of blog you create. Blogs that revolved around affiliate marketing should have at least a few posts a day. Update people throughout the day with the latest deals you have available to market. The goal with an affiliate marketing blog is to generate as many sales as possible. So stay in your audience's head and they will remember your blog when they are ready to spend some money. Another reason why it is good to post multiple times a day is because it helps give you more potential to sell something.
Blogs that focus on growing followers to increase your reputation in a particular field or category should set a limit to one or two posts a day. Since you are managing this blog alone people will understand you do not have the time to create a lot of posts a day. Blog about important topics that will engage readers and make them value your opinion. Quality content is important for a blog that intents to grow an audience in a particular field.
Figure out the type of blog you want to establish and then do a little research. Look at blogs that are popular in your category and take note from how it is successful. There is nothing wrong with getting ideas from other blogs. With a little research completed start posting. When you have a few posts completed you will gain a little confidence and if you follow the advice from this article you will start to see your blog succeed.

How to Promote Your Blog
Posted on 01:59by Unknown with No comments
For some of us, a blog is a means of earning extra income, and whether you monetize your blog by affiliate sales, AdSense or other advertising revenue or by selling products online a blog can be both a great deal of fun and a source of income. However, writing for your blog is one thing – getting anyone to see it is quite another.
One of the main requirements with any online venture is getting enough visitors, or traffic to it. If you are looking for a profit from your efforts, there is an absolute need for ordinary people to easily find your blog. Without this, no one will click on your links, respond to your ads or buy your products. For most of us, ranking well in the search engines is the obvious way of getting more people to find your site.
Unfortunately, the search engines have recently been very selective in ranking sites and many have fallen by the wayside. The old metrics of backlinks and more backlinks have been replaced with a presence in the social media, a demonstrable engagement with visitors and an active approach that keeps fresh, quality content appearing on the blog. If you are not being liked, shared, tweeted or pinned you are to all intents and purposes, invisible to Google.
Actively Participate in Social Media
Make sure you promote your posts in the social media by posting about them in Facebook, with a link back to the original post, and by Tweeting every time you add content. Keep your audience involved, encourage comments and start to build a reputation as a useful contributor.
Optimizing Your Blog
Use best practice SEO techniques as you write. There are a number of plug-ins which can help in this regard, particularly for popular platforms like WordPress, so take advantage of them and optimize each page and post you make.
Ensure that you have you target keyword in the page Meta tag, in the title and at least once in the body of your text. It still helps to make some formatted in a heading style, and it is also a good idea to have the keyword in the anchor text of a link.
Making Your Blog Interesting and Engaging
The final point is to keep people interested in what you have to say. Make your posts engage the visitor by spicing them up with images, but be very careful that you are not breaching any copyright rules. The last thing you want is a law suit hanging over you, and some image directories are well known for litigation.
Insert media like video and break up long passages of text with bullet points and subheadings. Don’t let your content appear intimidating to the visitor, so make the text attractive and each paragraph concise. Use different fonts and colors of text to add a bit of sparkle, and your bounce rate will become lower.
Follow these points to make your visitors stick around and participate in what you have to say. The search engines will reward you with higher ranking and your visitor count will increase.

How to Set Up a Blog
Posted on 01:59by Unknown with No comments
Blogging has become a very popular way to communicate with others. Many businesses use blogs to teach and inform people about things related to their business. Others write blogs to share their stories and experiences. Perhaps you have seriously considered writing a blog but don't have the slightest idea where to begin. Well, here are a few tips about how to set up a blog.
Of course you should first choose a subject for your blog. Not every article has to be on the same subject, but there should be a common thread. For instance, if your blog is about raising children, you can include articles about shopping for kid's clothes, school lunches, childproofing your home, etc. But you wouldn't write an article about how to train your dog to sit up or how jet travel was first introduced to the world.
Staying on subject is important because people will return to your blog again and again if they are interested in the subject. If you have no subject, you will never build up a loyal following.
Blogging does not have to cost a cent, nor do you have to know computer programming to develop a blog. There are several really good free blogging platforms available to anyone who wants to use them. A few of the more popular platforms are:
Blogger
Blog.com
WordPress.com
Weebly
Just go into any of those sites and there will be easy to understand instructions about setting up your own blog. Many very popular bloggers who have millions of readers have blogs on these blogging platforms.
It is important when writing a blog that you write about something you know or care about. You don't have to be an expert --- in fact your blog might be about how you are struggling to gain expertise in some area. The reason it should be about something familiar to you is so that you will write blog posts regularly.
Writing regular posts is a very important tip when creating your own blog. If you are passionate about something then you will write about it. If you are writing a blog about dog training, but you don't even own a dog, then you will not feel like writing regularly.
Be sure to include photos on your blog. The most popular bloggers have learned their readers like to see pictures of the things they are writing about. If you are writing about your kids, show their pictures. If you post an article about the first day of school, show pictures of the school and your son or daughter getting on the school bus. This will really help you develop an audience.
After you post a new article to your blog, let your friends know about it by making a comment on your Facebook page or announcing it to your Twitter followers. Don't say: “I posted a new article today.” Instead, whet their appetite. Say something like: “What a fiasco! Today was Billy's first day of school and boy, was I unprepared! I wrote about my humiliating experience on my blog.”
Blogging can be great fun and it can also be a way to communicate with lots of people. So get out there, put up your own blog and start blogging!

How to Use a Blog to Promote Your Business
Posted on 01:58by Unknown with No comments
Blogging is more popular today than ever before. You can find blogs on just about any subject. Want to learn how to fish? There are plenty of fishing blogs out there. Do you want to travel to Alaska? You will have no trouble finding blogs written by experienced Alaskan travelers. How about searching for colleges? Yep, you will find bloggers who will share their experiences about how they searched. Most companies now have blogs. Have you ever wondered how you might use a blog to promote your business?
First off, remember that blogs are not ads. They are not sales pages. No one will come to your blog to read ads about your business. But a blog can be used successfully to promote your business. How can you do this?
Let's say you are an author and you have just written a new book. Most authors today have their own websites, which are really blogs. In the blog they will talk about books they are working on. Perhaps the research has required them to travel to another city. They may use the trip as the subject of a blog post. Maybe they will introduce one of the characters in their new book in a post. As a result, people who read their blog will have a real curiosity about their new book and will want to buy it when it is released.
Restaurant owners have successfully been blogging for many years. If you have, say, an Italian restaurant, why not talk about where some of the selections on your menu originated. If you have a Sicilian dish, talk about Sicily and give some background about how that dish was created. You can also include why certain cheeses or pastas are used, while others are not. Your readers will be people interested in Italian food --- people who will want to come to your restaurant!
Perhaps you are a lawyer that specializes in senior law. You could start a blog that gives advice to seniors about estate planning, elder care, wills and trusts and so on. Today there are many people seeking information on these subjects and they would love to find a blog written by a lawyer. Can you see how eager they would be to use your services if they live in your locale?
The most important thing when promoting your business in a blog is not oversell your business. Write informative articles about subjects people are interested in. No one has a problem if, at the end of your article, you say something like: “If you'd like to try this tasty dish, be sure to stop in Mama Flora's restaurant next time you are in St Louis.” But other than that, leave the sales pitch to a minimum.
In a blog you are trying to get people to get to know you and learn more about you. If you can accomplish that, they will flock to your doors! So you can see how writing a blog is a really good way to promote your business.

How to Write a Successful Blog
Posted on 01:58by Unknown with No comments
If you have a blog, you know how difficult it can be to get people to notice it. Many have tried and failed, while others have been wildly successful. You would do well to take note of those successful bloggers, determine what exactly it is that makes their blogs stand out, and emulate them.
One thing I’ve noticed is that successful blogs have a theme. Having a theme can help in several ways. It draws in “birds of a like feather.” People seek out others who share their passion for a subject. Nathan Bransford, for instance, of www.nathanbransford.com blogs about writing. He was formerly a literary agent and, as such, had built up quite a following. His blog focused on good writing tips, how to get an agent, how to write a query letter, and the like. Even though he is no longer in that field, he continues writing this blog and every entry gets pages and pages of comments.
One key reason is that he keeps it simple. He is down to earth and appears to really care about his readers. Any aspiring blogger would do well to keep that in mind. Another thing to keep in mind is to write about something you know. You need credibility and if readers see that you are just making it up, or “borrowing” from other blogs, they’re not going to stick with you for long. You can quote from other blogs all you want. You can also have guest bloggers so long as you have established some credibility.
Honesty is also important. If you aren’t an expert on something, be upfront to your readers about that. In fact, invite them to comment on their own experiences and knowledge on the subject. Reader comments will help put your blog on the map. You might do a blog on your own explorations or efforts to learn more on a subject. For instance, if you’ve written a book, you might share your experiences as you strive to get published.
Perhaps you’ve seen the movie, JULIE AND JULIA. This began as a blog as a woman attempted to go through Julia Child’s first cookbook page by page, trying each of the recipes. The blog had such a following it went viral and even inspired a movie!
Plenty of visual stimulation draws in readers too. Think pictures, pictures, PICTURES!
A great example of this is Ree Drummond’s blog: thepioneerwoman.com. She did it so successfully it morphed into several bestselling books, her own television show on THE FOOD NETWORK, and a movie option! Now that’s success! Besides employing all the suggestions in the above paragraphs, Ree let her own spirit shine through. People are drawn to the genuineness of her personality, her sense of humor and her love of family. Her blog is about her life on a cattle ranch with her husband, “Marlboro Man” and her four children. She cooks and photographs the results step by step, and she home schools. She’s has literally millions of readers.
Just remember: be yourself, talk about interesting things (in the right hands, even the mundane can be interesting. Jerry Seinfeld build a successful career in comedy on the mundane), have a sense of humor – and incorporate lots of pictures. Now, what are you waiting for? Start blogging!

How To Write Great Blog Content
Posted on 01:57by Unknown with No comments
It doesn't matter how long you have been blogging, you probably know the term that 'Content is King'. Those who run a successful and popular blog do so because the content they provide is not just okay, it's great! You can't be a successful blogger without the useful content to back it all up. The question remains, how do you write great content?
The word good when it comes to referencing content is rather subjective. Much like when you claim that a book was good or a movie was great, you are ultimately voicing your own opinions and perhaps not the opinions of millions of other people. Bloggers and readers often have a different view of what 'good content' really is. That's why it's important that you write content that appeals to your audience, no matter what their personal opinion of 'good content' is.
In order for readers to subscribe to your newsletters and keep coming back to your blog, your content needs to be useful and unique. It isn't hard to write useful and unique content, but it begs the question, is your blog useful? Meanwhile, it is important that you are passionate and knowledgeable about the niche your blogging about, the content needs to be useful to the average reader. Your content should help readers raise awareness and enhance their lives.
Useful is a truly relative term, but blogs that deal in entertainment, debate, education, news and information often find success. Every blog out there in the blogosphere really has a sort of usefulness attached, but some have more to offer than others.
Research your potential readership, because they will be the ones that either appreciate your blog or don't. Always ask for the feedback of your readers if you already have an accomplished blog. Look at other forums in your niche and read the comments on your blog to determine what types of questions readers ask, and what types of content they generally accept as being useful.
Your content shouldn't only be good, it should also be unique. If thousands of other blogs have covered the same topic, sometimes even better than you, what will keep your readers coming back? You need your own identity and you have to be able to stand out from the crowd to provide something unique.
When starting a new blog in a given niche, research and analyze what other blog owners are doing. You may start to notice that they often all write using the same tone or style, missing out on the opportunity to distinguish them. Try to tackle a variation of different topics and write in a style that is distinctly your own to stand out from the thousands of other accomplished blogs.
Blogging has great potential to help you increase your customer base and to earn money, but only if you know how to be successful. You need content that is better than average and a style that will blow your readership away. Use what you have just learned to create great content!
